1. Nature of Products
We supply heavy-duty goods including:
New shipping containers
Used shipping containers
Custom container conversions
Due to the size, weight, transport costs, and nature of these products, special return conditions apply.
2. Order Confirmation
All orders are confirmed in writing before payment is processed. Customers are responsible for verifying:
Container size
Condition (New or Used)
Specifications
Delivery address
Access requirements
Once confirmed and payment is made, the order is considered final.
3. Returns Eligibility
Standard Containers (New & Used)
Returns are not automatically accepted once delivery has been completed, due to:
High transport costs
Logistical handling requirements
Risk of damage after delivery
The container delivered is materially different from what was invoiced
Structural damage occurred during transport arranged by Global Trade Marts
The issue is reported within 24 hours of delivery
Any approved return may be subject to transport and handling fees.
Custom Container Conversions
Custom-built or modified containers are non-returnable and non-refundable, unless:
There is a proven manufacturing defect
The product does not match agreed written specifications
Because these units are made to order, deposits are non-refundable once production has commenced.
4. Inspection Upon Delivery
Customers must inspect the container at the time of delivery.
Any concerns must be:
Reported immediately
Documented with photos
Communicated within 24 hours via phone or email
Failure to report issues within this period may void eligibility for claims.
5. Refunds
If a refund is approved:
Refunds will be processed to the original payment method
Processing may take 5–20 business days
Delivery and collection costs may be deducted where applicable
Refunds are only issued once the returned unit has been inspected and verified.
6. Order Cancellations
Orders may be cancelled:
Before dispatch (subject to administrative fees)
Before production begins (for custom units)
If a container has already been dispatched, delivery charges will apply.
Deposits paid toward custom builds are non-refundable once materials or labour have been allocated.
7. Non-Returnable Situations
We do not accept returns for:
Change of mind after delivery
Incorrect measurements provided by the customer
Site access issues caused by the customer
Minor cosmetic wear consistent with used container grading
8. Consumer Rights
Nothing in this policy limits your rights under applicable South African consumer protection laws.
